I told you that the month of March was birthday central...
At the end of the month the 30th is my little sisters birthday - and seeing that she lives in Canada I need to post her card early so she gets it on time.
Saying that my sister believed that she needs to celebrate her birthday for a month and therefore using this theory i am not in a rush to post it to her!
If you are reading this happy birthday little sis!

Thank you to all
The past month I have been unable to drive, clean, cook, or do anything other than rest, and lay on the couch. For anyone that knows me, they would know that I would struggle with this for 1 day let alone for 4 weeks. I wanted to say thank you to a few friends who have done school drop off and pick ups, taking Lachlan to Karate and swimming lessons, cleaning our house every time they came over, doing our washing and hanging it out and in turn putting it all away. All of this was done without a thought and I didn't ask they would just come over and do stuff. So a big thank you to each of our friends who have helped and no matter what was needed they helped

Another post - Caged Bird
I juat love the Caged Bird die from Tim Holtz. It can make a real simple card look amazing. I needed to make 6 birthday cards this month and it was so easy to make them with this die. This die is really easy to use when you don't want to put an age on a card.

Long time between posts
It has been over 6 months since I last posted. Its been for a number of reasons -
- Life
- No computer that worked properly
- Work
- Holidays
- Sickness and plenty of it
- Christmas
- Birthdays
SO instead of boring you with the little scraping I have done, I am just gonna pretend that it never happened and start over.
In the last week I have created 10 cards YES 10 cards !!!!!
March in itself is a busy month with birthdays, but this year 2 beautiful babies where also born into the family in March and I wanted to also thank a few friends that have been amazing whilst I have been unable to do anything due to being sick.
So over a week I have created a storm and it feels amazing to get back into it, especially since I am going away in a few weeks for a scrapbooking weekend away.
The first birthday card I made was for one of my SIL -
I will post the other 9 cards in the next day or so - I am still learning how to include photo's into my posts with my new computer (It has taken me over an hour to work out how to get this one into the post!!!

Baby Shower card
Over the weekend I had some "ME" time and created a few cards and am still working on a present which I am hopefully completing tonight for a friend for a baby shower.
I have recently discovered challenges and I love that I can use a sketch, a colour combination as a guide.

Challenge
I have finally committed to completing a challenge. I loved the ideas that I got once I started playing with the Mojo 248. Here is my take on it -
Birthday cards
More and more friends are asking me to make them cards for them. I love being able to use my creativity and make other people happy.
This weeks requests have included -
• 40th birthday card
• 2 birthday cards
I have also create 3 birthday cards one for my niece, one for my SIL and another for a very good friend who are celebrating birthday's this month. Now all u have to do is get them in the post before their birthdays!

Invitations and more
One of my closest friends is getting married in November whilst she is on a cruise with her family. We have been joking about what her what her batchlorette party should consist of and she has decided on dinner and drinks at one of her favorite restaurants. I was asked to make the invites.
They didn't turn out like I had envisaged them - but I am still happy with them
Weekend away
Last weekend I went away with some fabulous friends. I didn't get as much as I had hoped done but it was great to be told it's time for breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and then dinner. And of course not having to think about what to cook and not having to do dishes are all added bonuses.
I made some cards and a couple if layout that need some tweaking which I had hoped to finished once I got home - however the universe had other plans.
When I arrived home both my "children" had got the flu over the weekend and where very sick.
So whilst I cared for them I cleaned out my scrap-room and took a lot of paper, flowers, embellishments, magazines and books to a local school. I can't believe how much stuff I accumulated.

I struggle making male cards the colours, embellishments and the layout all make me struggle and what should take a short amount of time takes me a whole day.... Well that was until I started using the Something Sweet Stamp-in Up stamp and the sweet treat cups, I also started using the Tim Holtz up and away embossing folder and Sweet Centres Stamp and again the sweet treat cups, what eventuates are fun cards that can be used for so many different occasions

Wedding card
Today was one of the girls last day at work as she is off to Port Douglas to get married!
I was in charge of making the card - I wanted to make something as a keepsake, as well as a 'congratulations' card.
I made an explosion box and in the centre I made a 'cake' and used a cake topper glass slipper as the centrepiece

Another birthday card and 2 layouts
Spent another weekend scrapping and finishing a layout that I started last week.
Late last year my little sister went and eloped this is the photo that she sent to all to announce that they got married.
The birthday card I did using scrap boutique challenge
I also got delivery of my latest scrap area product. This is the best thing since sliced bread for storage. Now all I need to do is fill it!!!!

I don't want to ginks myself but I have been crafty this week and I feel really good for it.
Tonight in between cooking dinner, bathing, cleaning up and watching The Block I whipped up a layout of Lachlan's first school photo.
I still can't believe that we have a school aged boy in the house.

More cards
I am a bit behind with the family birthday cards - I haven't made my SIL her birthday card for her birthday that was during the week and I needed to make a birthday card for a young man who is turning 13 and another mothers day card was needed for Lachlan's Godmother
Celebrating scrapbooking day my way!
What a weekend had a few cards that I had to make for people this weekend. The first one was for a special little princess who turned 1 yesterday. I borrowed a pile of tools from Ange for this one and even though it took most of the afternoon to make the card I am absolutely stoked as to how it turned out.

Red Earth Retreat
Since the last time I posted, I have gone to a retreat organised by Red Earth Scrapbooking with 2 amazing friends in the Blue Mountains.
I had never been to the Blue Mountains, but I will definitely go back.
The retreat was small only 12 ladies attended however it was fabulous I learnt some new techniques and had many laugh.
At the retreat I did a handful of card s and 7 layouts (mindful that most of the layouts still need some tweaking) but I will get them finished soon....
I have also finished my step mothers mothers day present and it is ready to post a week early... Now to get the key office.
My niece turned 4 last month and my cousin in Malta had a baby so cards where required.
I am also clearing out the scrapbook at the moment so I will post photos soon!!!

My sister who lives in Canada has just become a resident so I thought I would make her a card to celebrate her milestone in her new life and finally my god daaughter was christened yesterday and I made her a card top celebrate her day.
Need to get packing as I am off on a girls / scrapping weekend in the blue mountains and I am no where near organised

1st birthday card
Finally I have created a blog to collate all the cards and layouts I create. The idea is that I will create more and I will remember all the cards that I make that I eventually give away.
First card is a card that I whipped up in literally 10 minutes for a friends little girls first birthday this afternoon.
